The contract between us
We must be in receipt of cleared funds for the total price of the goods, including for delivery charges and any additional services required, before your order can be accepted. Once payment has been cleared we will confirm that your order has been accepted by sending an email to you at the email address you provide in your order form. Our acceptance of your order brings into existence a legally binding contract between us.
Ownership of rights
All rights, including copyright, in this website are owned by or licensed to Catkin Collection. Any use of this website or its contents, including copying or storing it or them in whole or part, other than for your own personal, non commercial use, is prohibited without our permission. You may not modify, distribute or repost anything on this website for any purpose.
Accuracy of content
We have taken care in the preparation of the content of this website, in particular to ensure that prices quoted are correct at the time of publishing and that all goods have been fairly described. All photographs, drawings, descriptive matter, specifications and any descriptions or illustrations appearing on the website are for the sole purpose of giving an approximate idea of the goods described in them. They shall not form part of the contract and this is not a sale by sample. However, orders will only be accepted if there are no material errors in the description of the goods or their prices as advertised on this website. Any weights, dimensions and capacities given about the goods are approximate only.
We make every effort to supply the goods as advertised on our website. Many of the goods are handmade and one-off items therefore some of the goods may have some variations. Goods can only be returned in accordance with our returns policy.
Damage to your computer
We try to ensure that this website is free from viruses or defects. However, we cannot guarantee that your use of this website or any websites accessible through it will not cause damage to your computer. It is your responsibility to ensure that the right equipment is available to use the website. Except in the case of negligence on our part, we will not be liable to any person for any loss or damage which may arise to computer equipment as a result of using this website.
Availability
All orders are subject to acceptance and availability. If the goods you have ordered are not available from stock, we will contact you by e-mail. You will have the option either to wait until the item is available from stock or to cancel your order and the contract.
Ordering errors
You are able to correct errors on your order up to the point on which you click on “submit” during the ordering process.
Price
The prices payable for goods that you order are as set out on our website. All prices are quoted in pounds sterling (£) and inclusive of VAT at the current rates.
Payment terms
Payment can be made by any major credit or debit card (including Visa, Visa Delta, Solo, Mastercard, Maestro, American Express) or cheque.
For payment by card we will charge your account for payment upon receipt of your order. You are responsible for giving us the correct card payment details and in so doing warrant you are authorised to use such card facility.
If paying by credit or debit card the delivery address must be the same as the credit/debit card billing address.
If you request the gift wrap service and the delivery address is different to the credit/debit card billing address we can only take payment by cheque.
If you wish to pay by cheque up to the limit of your cheque guarantee card, please print off a copy of your order confirmation and send within 5 days to Catkin Collection at Customer Orders, PO Box 80, Crewkerne, TA18 9BB together with your cheque, payable to Catkin Collection, and with your cheque card guarantee number and expiry date written legibly on the reverse. Stock to fulfil your order cannot be held for more than 5 days.
Additional Services
Any additional services you select will be charged for in addition to the goods’ price specified.
You will be charged extra for the Gift Wrap service if you select the same. If the delivery address for the gift wrap goods is different to the credit/debit card billing address then it will not be possible to pay by credit/debit card and payment can only be made by cheque.
Delivery charges
Delivery charges vary according to the type of goods ordered and cannot be refunded.
Delivery charges are payable in addition to the item price payable for goods.
All posted goods will be sent by Royal Mail.
Every effort is made to despatch orders within 48 hours of order acceptance where the goods are in stock. You will receive an email confirmation of despatch.
Delivery times are not guaranteed.
Delivery is to addresses within the United Kingdom mainland only. For delivery elsewhere (including non UK mainland e.g. Isles of Scilly, Channel Isles, Isle of Man and Northern Ireland) please contact us as we do not currently offer this service as standard.
We will arrange to deliver the goods to the UK mainland address or as agreed and such address must be accurate and include a postcode. As signature will be required to take delivery of the goods.
Our delivery charges are set out below.
We offer two types of delivery to addresses on the UK mainland:
Standard delivery - we have a charge for standard delivery dependent of your shopping basket value :

£10 - £40 shopping basket value = £ 4.50 per order

£40+ shopping basket value = £6.50 per order
Our standard delivery is sent via the Royal Mail recorded service. Please allow 5 days for goods to be delivered from the dispatch date in your email confirmation. This delivery method requires a signature so please make sure you are available to accept your order.
Next day delivery - we have a charge for next day delivery dependent of your shopping basket value :

Our next day delivery is sent via the Royal Mail. This delivery method requires a signature so please make sure you are available to accept your order.
Returns and damage/loss in transit
There may be some circumstances where the goods are not suitable, faulty or defective. If you are dissatisfied you must return the goods to us within 7 days of the date of receipt, stating why the goods are being returned by you and whether you seek refund of the goods’ price paid or a replacement. All goods must be returned unused and in the original packaging and at your expense. Proof of posting to us is not proof of receipt by us and we recommend you use a tracked form of delivery for any returns.

Any refunds will be processed within 30 days of the returned goods being received by us. We will refund the goods’ price excluding the cost of delivery. We will send an email confirmation when the refund has been effected.
Occasionally despatched goods are damaged in transit. If this happens with your delivery you must advise us upon receipt and upon proof of damage we will arrange to deliver replacement goods as quickly as we can. In respect of goods damaged in transit please retain all packaging and we will contact you to arrange to recover the damaged goods.
Acknowledgement and acceptance of your order
All acknowledgements and communications will be by email. You must provide us with an e-mail address which we will use during the processing and completion of your order. An email delivery notification received by us is proof that it has been received by you.
Cancellation rights
Under the Distance Selling Regulations you have the legal right to cancel your order and the contract within 7 days of receipt of the goods (with the exception of any made to order or specially sourced goods). You do not need to give us any reason for cancelling nor will you have to pay any penalty. However, you will need to notify us in writing if you wish to cancel your order and the contract by emailing to orders@catkin-collection.co.uk
If you have received the goods before you cancel then you must send the goods back to us at Catkin Collection, Customer Returns, PO Box 80, Crewkerne, TA18 9BB. at your own expense and risk. If you cancel but we have already despatched the goods for delivery you must not unpack the goods when they are received by you and you must send the goods back to us at Collection, Customer Returns, PO Box 80. Crewkerne. TA18 9BB at your own expense and risk within 7 days of receipt by you.
Once you have notified us that you are cancelling, any sum paid to us which was debited from your credit or debit card will be re-credited to your card account as soon as possible and any sum paid to us by cheque will be refunded to you by cheque, in either case less the delivery charges incurred in despatching the goods, and in any event within 30 days of our receiving your written notice of cancellation your order PROVIDED THAT the goods in question are returned by you and received by us in the condition they were in when delivered to you (unused and in the original packaging). If you do not return the goods to us or do not pay the costs of delivery, we will be entitled to deduct the direct costs of recovering the goods from the amount to be re-credited to you.
You will be re-credited for the expenses incurred by you in returning faulty or damaged goods.
Cancellation by us
We reserve the right to cancel the contract between us if:
• we decide we do not have insufficient stock to deliver the goods you have ordered;
• we cannot deliver to the address specified; or
• one or more of the goods you ordered was listed at an incorrect price due to a typographical error or an error in the pricing information received by us from our suppliers.
If we do cancel your contract we will notify you by e-mail and will refund any sums paid as soon as possible but in any event within 30 days of cancellation, less any costs incurred in attempting to deliver to an invalid delivery address.
Liability
Catkin Collection shall under no circumstances be liable for any consequential or indirect damage or loss, however caused, (including (but not restricted to) loss of business or profits, loss of goodwill, damage to trading relationships, loss of data and other financial loss. Financial loss in this sense does not refer to the price you have paid for the goods, which we may be liable to refund to you, in whole or in part, if the goods are faulty. Catkin Collection’s liability in respect of all other losses shall be limited to price paid by you for the goods ordered.
Notwithstanding the foregoing, nothing in these terms and conditions is intended to limit any rights you might have as a consumer under applicable local law or other statutory rights that may not be excluded nor in any way to exclude or limit our liability to you for any death or personal injury resulting from our negligence.
Notices
Save as otherwise specified all notices from you to us must be in writing and sent to our address at info@catkin-collection.co.uk and all notices from us to you will be displayed on our website from to time and or sent to the email address you have provided to us.
Changes to terms and conditions
We reserve the right to change these terms and conditions from time to time.
Law, jurisdiction and language
This website, any content contained therein and any contract brought into being as a result of usage of this website are governed by and construed in accordance with English law. Parties to any such contract agree to submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
Invalidity
If any part of these terms and conditions is unenforceable (including any provision in which we exclude our liability to you) the enforceability of any other parts of these conditions will not be affected.
Privacy
You acknowledge and agree to be bound by the terms of our privacy statement.
Third party rights
Nothing in this Agreement is intended to, nor shall it confer any rights on a third party.
